My Location

Haw Creek Commons, 315 Old Haw Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28805

I’m about 15 minutes east of downtown Asheville, right near Haw Creek Elementary School, with free designated parking on site. The Commons is a former church, turned community center (currently a non-religious, non-profit organization).

I also offer zoom sessions for families across the Carolinas (North and South)! You can view my telehealth registration in SC here.

My office at Haw Creek Commons.

The “outdoor office” - playground, trails, soccer fields, community gardens and more!

Pllay furniture and the option to remove shoes gives in-person sessions a more cosy, casual feeling. Sensory regulation strategies and stimming are always encouraged in this environment.

My office overlooks the playground and woods. In the afternoons, you will often hear children happily shrieking, laughing, and playing outside. Otherwise it stays pretty quiet.

  • I’m located at Haw Creek Commons: 315 Old Haw Creek Road, Asheville, NC, 28805. It’s in a quiet neighborhood about 10-15 minutes east of downtown Asheville, right near Haw Creek Elementary and Evergreen Community Charter School, with its own designated parking.

My office is handicapped accessible and fragrance free with soft, natural lighting and a variety of seating options. Please let me know about your accessibility needs so that I can accommodate you and your family appropriately.

  • I am fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID, and I keep up with CDC recommended guidelines.

In order to keep us all both physically and emotionally safe, I ask that we make special arrangements when one of us has been exposed, isn’t feeling well, or tests positive for COVID, RSV, flu, or Strep. These decisions are made together, on a case-by-case basis, but could include moving an in-person session to telehealth, meeting outdoors, masking, testing, or rescheduling the appointment.

  • My in-person location is adjacent to beautiful outdoor spaces including a playground, a community garden, soccer fields, tire swing, and wooded trails. While these shared community spaces provide less privacy, outdoor sessions can offer more regulating sensory input and relaxation for many. Fresh air, sunshine, and playful movement make therapy sessions fun! This is also one way to mitigate COVID risks.

Parking and Navigating My Building

Here is Haw Creek Commons from the outside!

This is the main parking lot. There is accessible parking on both sides of the building.

Watch the 60 second video below to “walk” the pathway from the main parking lot to my waiting area.

You’ll walk to the glass door, pass straight through the building and find a stairwell on your left. Climb the stairs and you’ll see some benches at the top where I’ll greet you at your scheduled appointment time.
